The Clinical Animal Registration and Education Foundation (CARE) is a 501(c)3 corporation which was established in August of 2004 to promote the use of animals with spontaneous (naturally occurring) disease in clinical studies. CARE has developed the necessary infrastructure to capture reliable information about animal disease and treatment. CARE has partnered with Prelude Dynamics, to design and implement the Registry of Spontaneous Disease (RESPOND), a sophisticated web-based registry built upon an internet-based clinical trial platform. Studying animals with spontaneous disease will have numerous benefits to human and veterinary health.

The Care Registry is considering an expansion, geared to including diabetic dogs. If you are treating diabetic dogs, please email us so that we can gauge interest in this proposed effort.
